Call Hunt는 특정번호로 걸려온 전화를 받지 못하는 경우를 대비하여, 자신이 보유하고 있는 다른 회선으로 자동으로 전화를 걸리게 하는 기능이다.
Vonage에서 제공하는 개념으로 보자면, 이용자(Account)가 복수의 회선(Line)을 보유하고 있어야 Call Hunt 서비스를 이용할 수 있다. 즉, 한 이용자(Accont)가 하나의 회선만 신청한 상태라면, 이 서비스를 이용할 수가 없다.
아래는 Call Hunt 기능을 이용하는 시나리오이다.
Example: Mary owns a floral business. She has two locations and 6 people who work for her. Now, she never misses a call; she programmed all 5 of her business lines to call hunt in the event one store is busy and already on the phone. In the event all lines are busy or unanswered, Mary configured it so the last call to voicemail will be sent to the voicemail of the first line in her sequence.
Scenario 1: A customer calls the floral shop on the first call listed in the hunt. Mary is on that line with another customer. The call rings at the other location and Mary’s sister, Iris, is working and she answers the call.
Scenario 2: A customer calls the floral shop on the first line listed in the hunt. Mary is on that line with another customer. The call rings at the other location and Mary’s sister, Iris, is also on the phone. The call goes to the third line listed in the hunt, but Kate is talking to a customer. The call goes to the fourth line listed in the hunt, but that line is busy. Now, the call goes to the fifth line listed, but no one else is working, so the call goes unanswered. The caller leaves a voice message in the mailbox of the first line listed in the hunt sequence.
